Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly owner, which set a positive tone for my visit. The spotless kitchen was a delight, complete with a shared kitchen stocked with cookware and utensils, allowing me to prepare meals easily-a unique touch for a lodge. I particularly appreciated the clean and comfortable bedrooms, which offered soundproofing that ensured a restful night, and the cozy sitting area became a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. With the ruins of Burg Merenberg nearby and stunning views to enjoy, I left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return for a summer barbecue in their lovely courtyard.
